The club is seeking at least one volunteer to act as an Assistant Welfare Officer to support the club Welfare Officer Mary Allott. The role would include assisting with the administration of CRB checks, helping to deal with welfare issues raised by team managers, parents or players, attending to odd evening meeting and helping parents with financial assistance.
The job would suit a parent or adult with related children playing for the club who can spare the odd hour of their time helping the club in this way. The successful applicant will be required to attend an FA training course ( usually held over an evening or two) which will be paid for by the club. He or she will need to be a good listener with social and communication skills and be able to undertake simple admin with the aid of a computer. Above all they need to be committed to child welfare as a main priority.
