HERTS SENIOR COUNTY LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION
Eagles went top of the premier division table after a narrow win at Chipperfield, the winner coming in injury time in the second half.
The home team had much the better of the first half and deservedly went in 1-0 ahead at the interval with a well worked goal following constant pressure on the Eagles goal. Eagles were fortunate not to face a large deficit when keeper Dan Goad came to their rescue saving a penalty. He also pulled off several excellent saves to keep the visitors in the game
Second half it was a different story as Eagles began to find their feet and composure. Sam Gittings led the revival when he volleyed in a corner at the far post, and it looked as if the match was heading for a draw despite one way traffic towards the home goal for the last 15 minutes of the game. In the last minute of injury time Ricky Young smashed an unstoppable shot into the top corner of the Chipperfield net from the edge of the penalty area and Eagles went home with all the points.
