LGCE Blues and Reds Vs Shefford Saints 20th October 2007
Game 1
The Eagles waste no time getting stuck in with some great passing from the boys and Harry does a good pass to Jordan who has no trouble in scoring 1-0. Jack R does a short run up towards the Shefford goal but a bad tackle from Shefford gives the Eagles a free kick which is taken by Harry.
Harry kicks the ball hard but the ball rebounds off of the back of a Shefford player. Quick thinking by Reece hits the rebounded ball into the net to make it 2-0 to the Eagles.
Some more near misses come from Jack R and Harry but it’s a battle near the Shefford goal that gets Jordan his second goal 3-0 to the Eagles.
A pass from Cian to Harry gives Harry another shot at goal but it goes just wide. Shefford take the ball down to the Eagles half and as they go to take a shot its Liam who puts in a great tackle, the whistle goes and its half time .
The second half and Jordan makes way for Oscar to come on and Reece is off to make way for Oliver. It doesn’t take long for Oscar to have a shot on goal but he is denied by the post, the ball rebounds back to Oscar but this time it goes just wide.
A corner is given to the Eagles which Harry takes but it’s a good Shefford defence that clear the ball away from goal. Some more great passing from Oliver to Jack R who then passes to Cian who fancies a chance at goal from just past the half way line, with a huge kick its over the head of the Shefford keeper to make it 4-0 to the Eagles.
This time it’s Liam who fancies a chance at goal but it gets deflected to Oscar who scores a great goal. Its a good win for the Eagles 5-0.

Game 2
It’s a good start by the Eagles with shots on goal right from the start but its the goal post which denies Oscar. Oliver gets his foot on the ball with some good foot work passes the ball to Jordan who tucks it into the left corner and its 1-0 to the Eagles
All the boys are up the Shefford half, but as Shefford clear the ball well its a quick run by Liam and Cian to get back to defend the eagles goal and they do so well. Liam does a short run up the pitch to pass to Oscar who passes to Jordan who makes it 2-0 to the Eagles.
Shefford fail to clear the ball after a quick short run by Cian which goes to Reece who then passes to Oliver who scores his first great goal for the Eagles 3-0.
Shefford try hard in the second half which gives Toby his first real save of the morning, but its short lived as Jack R scores a good goal and makes it 4-0.
More action goes on with more corners taken and some more shots on goal from Harry, Oscar, Jordan and Oliver but Shefford defend well and deny the Eagles any more goals so it ends 4-0 to the Eagles.

LGCE Blues & Reds Vs Bishop Stortford 15th September 2007
Game 1
It was a slow start for the Eagles at home with Bishop Stortford looking strong from the start. But after just a few minutes the Eagles have a chance with a corner taken by Jack B but it’s cleared quickly by the Bishop Stortford defence. Bishop Stortford breaks free and has a shot at the Eagles goal but hits the side of the net. Now it’s the Eagles who break away and do so well with some great passing by Harry, Cian and Oscar which leads to Jack B putting the Eagles ahead with a great goal. Bishop Stortford has another try at the Eagles goal but is put to a stop by Liam and Oscar with some good defending. With another bit of skilful passing from Jack R and Harry leads Jack B to score his second goal of the game, with a couple of missed shots from each side and its half time.
The Eagles get stuck in in the second half putting all their skills to good use with some good tackles and passes, but Bishop Stortford Soon get hold of the ball with some good passes of their own and having a shot at goal but its put straight into the hands of Toby. Again it is Bishop Stortford on the attack but is soon put to a stop by Liam with an excellent tackle.
Harry is subbed for Jordan who wastes no time putting the ball in the back of the net after just a few minutes of play.
It’s Cian who fancies a shot at goal but is denied by the Bishop Stortford goal post, it is rebounded straight back to Cian who has another good shot but this time it’s the crossbar that stops him. It ends in a well deserved win to the Eagles 3-0

Game 2
Bishop Stortford kicks off the start of the second match with Cian intercepting the ball that clears it to Jordan, but it’s two against
one and Bishop Stortford steal the ball, but this time its Jack B with a good bit of defending which gives the Eagles a throw on, a big throw from Jordan is received by Laurence who takes a shot but goes just wide of the goal. Poor clearance from Bishop Stortford gives Laurence another chance but it’s just a touch light. Harry, Jordan and Oscar play some good football which leads Reece to put one in the back of the net. It’s Bishop Stortford who makes a run into the Eagles half and it’s Cian, who goes in for a tackle, but in doing so gets injured, as Cian goes off the pitch its Jack R who replaces him. With a bit of poor passing from Bishop Stortford Harry steals the ball, with a run down the length of the pitch he passes to Jordan who then crosses it over to Laurence, who in turn, takes a shot and gets his first goal for the Eagles and the whistle goes for half time.
The Eagles kick off the second half but the Bishop Stortford defence put the Eagles under a bit of pressure but its short lived as Bishop Stortford make a mistake with a pass and its intercepted by Harry who makes a pass to Jack R which leads to Laurence scoring his second goal. More goal attempts from Jordan and Harry put the Bishop Stortford defence under a bit of pressure with most of the second half action being in the Bishop Stortford half. This time it’s a mistake on the Eagles side as Bishop Stortford retrieve the ball and makes a run for the Eagles goal. They don’t get too far when Liam puts in a super challenge which stops a certain goal. After two great goals Laurence is given a rest for Cian who is bought back on. Reece makes an excellent pass to Jack R who makes no mistake in making it 4-0 to the Eagles.
