LCGE Whites & Yellows Vs Pin Green Juniors 5th April 2008
GAME 1
Haven't even had a chance to get my pad out when Eagles get their first goal, quickest one this season courtesy of Karlos 1-0! Eagles are quickly in control and waste no time in working the ball through Lewis C, to Ben who is challenged but Eagles get a throw, this turns into a series of throws as Eagles apply pressure to Pin Green who are happy to boot it out to catch breath. A nice link play between Lewis C, Harry and Ben who shoots but goalie clears for a corner kick, this comes to nothing. Eagles are all over Pin green but seem to be putting chances wide. Not long though before a lovely move started at the back with Aaron, Lewis C, Harry, Ben, Karlos to Max whose is inches wide but what a lovely move. I spot Josh in goal reading a book such is the lack of action in his half, the one time Pin Green manage to get outside their own half Aaron and Lewis quickly cover and clear any threat. Eagles are looking for the second goal and deserved on run of play and we are duly rewarded with great play between Max, Karlos and Ben, with Ben scoring 2-0. It's not long before eagles are on the attack again and to be honest every attack looks like it could end in a goal this time with a 5 piece combo move ending with Max burying his shot 3-0. Its not long after that Eagles win a corner kick which Harry takes and connects with Max who again sees his shot go wide. Pin Green take an advantage of the rolling hills that represent the pitch and go full throttle for an attack on goal, however Josh shepherds the ball out for goal kick. Coach makes a couple of subs as is it obvious quality of opposition could turn this into a rout and we get our first glimpse of Dylan in front of goal with a shot that was saved!!! Unlucky Dylan. Game ends with Lewis C to Lewis M to Dylan back to Lewis M for Eagles 4th goal. 4-0
GAME 2
Now the coach is having a complete change about and we see Ben in goal and both goalies on the pitch, hope they don’t get tempted to pick up the ball :) First few minutes see Eagles kicking the ball around testing the new positions out. Stuart picks the ball up and heads towards goal, Aaron is up front and forces the goalie into a save, corner kick to eagles. Josh M (goalie) steps up to take and whips in a good cross again Pin Green forced to kick it out for another corner kick, Josh again takes but ball is rebounded out but luckily falls at his feet again, without hesitation he whacks the ball in and the ball hits the back of the net, wonder goal 1-0. This begins what can only be described as an onslaught of Eagles possession and brilliant passing. First we see Josh Mel to Dylan to Karlos to Stuart who forces a corner, this time Pin green save and launch an attack Ben gets his chance to throw himself around the goal but unfortunately is not tested and saves comfortably. Ben throws out to Josh who links with Stuart who passes to Karlos who does a lovely turn and shoots, 2-0. Straight from the restart Karlos intercepts the ball runs with it and within minutes has his third 3-0 HT.
Max now steps in as goalie, from the off Harry picks up Dylan who runs past a couple of defenders and scores Eagles 4th with a fantastic effort, so good to see that the quality of all the boys in any position is brilliant to watch. We see a couple of shots from Harry, Josh all which is saved but the passing is sublime. Pin Green continues to battle and manage to to give max a bit to do but he is up to the challenge. We have a direct Max, Dylan to Lewis M who blasts it home for 5-0. Pin Green try one last time and are rewarded with 2 corner kicks in quick succession and manage to convert one 5-1.

GAME 1
Very small pitch which is marked out with cones!!! Not going to be pretty I think and the first few minutes confirm that, with lunging tackles and a number of air shots on both sides. Finally Eagles start to slow down and put some passes together with Max picking the ball up on the halfway line and passing to Harry, he spots Lewis C on a run and is unlucky as his first touch has a bit too much pace. Poor clearance and Ben pounces, he flicks the ball to Max who again finds Lewis C running in on goal, he has his shot cleared of the line for a corner kick, Harry takes and Max gets on the end of it but too many Bedwell players in front of goal make it difficult to tuck it away. Bedwell threaten the Eagles goal with a very fast No.2 player but Josh Mel sees him off and in turn does a good pass to Aaron down the middle to Harry who runs with the ball and earns a throw which is taken Josh Mel spots Lewis C who does a good turn and shot on goal, so close but Eagles have a corner kick. Ball is crossed in and Lewis C is putting good pressure on Bedwell defenders, Max tries to shoot but shot is blocked back to Harry who also has his shot saved. Eagles are really pushing forward and though scrappy are having more of the ball. Aaron picks the ball up from a Bedwell challenge and passes to Harry, to Max with a good ball to Ben which is out for a throw. Max is putting pressure on the goal area as throw in is taken, this constant Eagles pressure forces error from Bedwell and ball ends up in net 1-0 Eagles. In case you had forgotten Josh the goalie was on the pitch and had his first kick of the game as Bedwell put in an attack, good kick to Josh Mel to Harry back to Josh Mel who passes to Max who is fouled, free kick, Harry steps up to take and blasts one heading for goal unfortunately Lewis C gets a head on it taking it away from goal. Half time whistle blows
Straight away Ben gets the ball and does a nice pass to Max who chases the ball but his shot is just wide. Another interception from Eagles gives Max another opportunity on goal but is unlucky as ball trickles pass the wrong side of the post. Bedwell pick the ball up from the kick and earn their first corner kick which is easily cleared by Josh Mel, good tackle by Harry keeps possession and finds Max who earns another corner kick, taken short to Josh Mel, back to Harry but cleared, only as far as Lewis C out to Harry on the outside of the box who lofts it back in, Max gets on the end of it with a header just wide. Eagles have 2 quick throw in and constant pressure forces another corner for Eagles but doesn't come to anything. Goalie who in fairness has made some good saves clears his area but Harry intercepts, Alfie calls for the ball picks out Max who runs in on goal and scores, great goal 2-0. Last couple of minutes see Alfie with his legendary tackle win a free kick which is taken by Harry, to Alfie to Max who shoots just wide. Final whistle 2-0. Not our best performance due to pitch but a win none the less, well done boys.
GAME 2
Not sure where they got this team but they seem a lot sharper then the first. Some well worked passes by Bedwell give them first blood with good attack and Dylan having to make a save. Aiden solid at the back gets not one but two good challenges in as Bedwell take charge of the game. Another good combination pass by Bedwell finds them pushing on goal and this time they convert 0-1. Eagles not phased by this Aiden gets another good challenge and finds Lewis M try to get it down field but Bedwell intercept the pass and Dylan is forced to another save. Stuart battles in the middle of the park and passes to Lewis M who is trying to work ball into goal area but too many players. Final minutes see Bedwell break from an Eagles throw but Aiden covers brilliantly so attack comes to nothing 0-1.
Couple of subs see Eagles ready for action and within couple minutes of the restart Harry spots Lewis M on a run and lobs ball over defender for Lewis to pick up (same as Hormead Hares) and in on goal, he wastes no time and converts, making the pass very effective 1-1. Eagles begin to take initiative and Alfie is very strong when challenged doing a lovely turn to create space and pass to Lewis M who passes back but unable to get a chance in. Poor clearance and Lewis M intercepts, tries an attempt but couple of bodies blocking the view. Stuart takes the ball up in midfield and passes to Max, another foul and another free kick. Max takes and Lewis M headers just wide. Eagles turning the heat up now and forcing errors from Bedwell, this gives Eagles a corner kick which Max takes, a bit of panic by the Bedwell defenders see the ball hit their own net with another own goal 2-1 Eagles. Last couple of Eagle attacks see Alfie execute a lovely stop/turn putting Lewis M on goal who hits side netting, Final Whistle 2-1
Another good results for both games.

GAME 1
Eagles off to a bright start getting the feel for the ball with some nice passing. It is not long before spectators witness a lovely 9 pass combination play between Karlos, Max, Harry, Aaron, Harry, Lewis, Ben, Harry then finally Ben whose shot is just wide. This is such a joy to watch. Karlos intercepts the weak goalie kick and passes to Max who shoots just over the bar. Max is straight in with a really good tackle and wins the ball passing to Ben who sees Karlos on a run, he passes and Karlos puts the shot wrong side of the post. Again poor clearance by Shefford allows Ben to take advantage and Shefford concede a corner, Harry takes and Max is unlucky not to convert.
Pressure is all on Shefford and even though they have a throw good play from Eagles forces a corner, again Harry steps up looking for Karlos, he finds him and Karlos does a wonderful volley into the back of the net, excellent goal 1-0. Straight from replay Eagles are pushing forward, another good passing movement from Max, Karlos back to Max, Harry then Ben and again unlucky as shot is wide. This spell shows Eagles at their best, in control and passing with all players calling for the ball. Aaron and Lewis tidy up at the back as Shefford attempt their first real attack and though Eagles concede a free kick Shefford cannot do anything with it. Good clearance by Dylan to Lewis down the wing to Max who finds Harry, he shots and everyone but the ref sees the ball cross the line, goal not given! It's not long though before Eagles again mount another good attack with Lewis putting the ball up for us and Karlos whizzing through a couple of defenders, his shot is saved but Max as alert as ever picks up the rebounds and we get our second 2-0.
Last couple of minutes see some good play by a Shefford player who manages to skip through a couple of challenges forcing Dylan to make a save. Half time
Coach makes a couple of subs and we kick off looking strong again, within couple of minutes Max picks the ball up and runs at a number of defenders, he shots from outside the goal and shot is saved but Lewis M is always looking for any chance and picks up a 50/50 ball from the keeper and tucks it away 3-0. What we see next can only be described as unbelievable, a Shefford player without provocation walks up to Max and lashes out at him, conveniently the ref's back is turned but eagles Coach goes straight up and discussed the actions of the player with the coach, making it clear that unless he is removed for such conduct Eagles who always play professionally will take no further part. The player is removed and game resumes with a six combo pass featuring Harry, max, Lewis, Max, Harry and again Max who is unlucky as he shots over bar. Alfie is getting some fantastic tackles in breaking up play and Lewis M picking up the pass from Alfie going towards goal, Shefford are throwing bodies behind goal (makes a change from the ref being in the way) and we can't just get it through. Last challenge of the match again balls being picked up in the middle of the park by Alfie to Lewis M who spots Harry who whacks it but goalie saves, Eagles have another comfortable win. 3-0
GAME 2
Alfie is straight onto attack and intercepts a pass by Shefford, he picks out Stuart who finds Ben, nice pass back with Lewis M battling in on goal, clearance by Shefford falls in front of Ben but his shot hits the side netting. Shefford try to push forward but Aiden does well to block the pass and also find Lewis C in a good position, as Ben runs down the line Stuart is calling for the ball which has a bit of pace and eagles unlucky as ball goes off as this was a really good piece of play between the boys. Again Aiden is really defending his line and passes to Alfie who is determined to get in on goal and we see his shot saved! It's as frustrating as all that Eagles haven't done these first few minutes is score. Eagles maintain position and control of the ball with Shefford being forced into a corner kick, Ben takes and we Josh M up there with shot going wide. Goalie clears but only as far as Alfie, who does a lovely pass to Lewis M, he can't dig it out in front of goal and loose ball lands in front of Alfie who forces a great save from the keeper. Eagles earn another corner kick which Ben takes short to Stuart who passes in for Alfie who again is denied. We finally see the first real Shefford attack on goal which like the first match eagles give away a free kick, 3 man wall steps up protecting themselves and does enough to put them off with Aiden picking up the ball, he spots Alfie who has a brilliant run down the length of the pitch, Stuart is providing support and being persistent if nothing else in challenging for the ball, this pays off when Eagles earn another corner kick which goes across face of goal, Stuart picks it up passes to Ben who shots and scores, finally the goal we have deserved 1-0. This finally starts the boys rushing for goal and Lewis M with some fine control slots home his second of the day (must be costing mum a fortune!) Half time whistle blows.
Coach decides such is the strength of play that he can afford to make some changes so players who normally either defend or play in goal can get a chance to go up front, this is great to see as each player supports and gives their all as a team. It is not long before we see Stuart get the ball and go straight on the attack; Alfie in support slots the ball to Karlos who passes to Aaron who places a lovely ball in bottom left corner, 3-0. Seems whatever spirit Shefford had evaporates as Eagles sublimely pass the ball with precision and flair. Aiden is pushing forward supporting midfield and passing to Karlos who is making a run his shot goes wide. Clearance reaches as far as Stuart who finds Josh (goalie) who as Stuart runs pass gives him back the ball, Aaron is waiting in the box and his shot hits the post. Eagles camp in the Shefford end and Alfie, Aaron and Stuart link up with Stuarts pass going wide! Another attack sees Josh attack on goal force a fine save from an excellent shot. Josh M who is kept pretty quiet still manages a good block and flick on Alfie then Stuart, Josh looks up and spots Alfie who finally gets his chance to convert his effort 4-0, well deserved after all his efforts. Eagles still not done and after scoring Alfie assists with a through ball to Josh who gets his first eagles goal with a power shot past the keeper, yes! 5-0. To add insult to injury Eagles do not sit back and after Aiden taking on three players and some persistence from max allows Lewis C a chance in front of goal, which he takes 6-0.

LCGE Whites & Yellows Vs Hormead Hares 16th February 2008
GAME 1
Very physical start to the match with Aaron quickly onto a 50/50 ball, Hormead gets their first throw on but well defended and goes for a goal kick. Hormead are quicker to the most balls and seems Eagles are still waking up, there is very deep defending with Lewis and Aaron having to clear a number of balls into the area but they keep calm and do what they are good at. A good goal clearance by Dylan finds Harry who passes to Karlos, Alfie is making a good run wide and karlos passes to him to get into position but Alfie takes his chance and his shot is just wide. Hormead waste no time pushing on the attack and force a corner kick from a good save from Dylan who does the same on the follow up. A tackle near the Eagles goal concedes a free kick ball is whipped in by Hormead but again good defending by Lewis and Aaron sees the ball covered for a goal kick. Eagles start to press more and Max has a good run down the left past a couple of Hormead players, one of them manages to get back and Eagles gain a corner, first one is defended well and Eagles gain a second, Harry passes it in and a goalmouth scramble ensues, too many bodies means Eagles cannot work the ball through and goalie claims it. No sooner when we lament our lost chance and Hormead are racing back up field, they are clear on goal and Dylan does a fantastic body block, Hormead win a corner kick but Eagles have it covered. Eagles finish the second half a bit more awake and winning their fair share of the ball, a final good interception by Aaron passes to Max who interlinks with Karlos getting the return ball but his shot is saved, half time 0-0
Coach has a word with the boys who start second half a bit more alert. Dylan is replaced by Josh M in goal and Josh Mel is also on. Much better start with the usual Whites combination play and they manage their first 4 pass formation, a couple of well earned throws gives Eagles slight advantage as they move into Hormead territory. Aaron gets the ball and finds Harry, Max is calling for the ball and they combine 2 passes, Lewis has made a fantastic run almost full length of pitch and finds himself in front of goal, without hesitation he blasts one into the net and Eagles get the breakthrough 1-0. He doesn’t stop there as he is called upon within minutes to block a good pass from Hormead and they earn 2 throw ins on the trot, Josh Mel does a great tackle on the second throw in and does a lovely ball to Karlos and combo play with Max, Lewis and finally Harry who shots and forces a corner kick, Hormead manage to clear and go on the counter, they manage to get through the defence and score 1-1. Eagles have the better finish of the game with a corner kick from Harry being saved and also good run from Lewis/Harry and Karlos see the shot saved. Final whistle 1-1 on balance fair result.
GAME 2
Josh within seconds of whistle going has had to make two fine saves with Hormead looking to dominate from the beginning, are we going to have a repeat of game 1? Aiden stays on top of the Hormead striker and digs the ball out from a tackle and covers the ball so Josh can scoop it up. Stuart picks up the throw from Josh and has a really good run down his right side forcing 2 Eagle throws, ensuring possession; Josh G picks up one of the throws and though he hasn’t been playing regularly delivers an excellent shot just wide. This is another physical game and Josh G and Stuart shake off a couple of tackles to pass to Lewis M whose shot goes just wide. Eagles end the half stronger and ensure 0-0 with Aiden covering his position to thwart any attempt by Hormead.
Eagles earn a couple of quick throw and are quick, Max plays the ball up and Lewis picks it up and brings it towards goal, Alfie takes the ball and earns us a corner kick. Harry steps up to take and with his new mercurial vapours deliver a shot straight into the back of the net 1-0! Stuart intercepts the restart ball and Harry shouts for the ball, he delivers to Lewis M who is so unlucky as his shot is palmed wide for a corner kick, Hormead defend well and manage to clear all three corner kicks in succession. Eagles are really taking control now and some lovely play between Stuart and Lewis M allows Harry to take a shot which is just wide. Eagles are determined to get another goal and on balance of chances deserve it. Aiden has some clearing to do which he does beautifully to Harry who passes to Lewis M who earns us another corner kick. Harry floats one in and Lewis M is at the near post and does a wonderful header in the goal, our first headed goal from a corner and well executed. 2-0. in the dying minutes Max does a really good run with Lewis in a good position, he passes and Lewis M nets his second of the day and eagles third. Full time 3-0

LGCE White & Yellows Vs LGCE Orange & Blacks 9th February 2008
Derby time again and both teams determined to give it their all. Whites do not settle well and Oranges exploit some nerves earning an early throw but boys do well to defend with Lewis C covering well at the back as Oranges mount their first serious challenge on goal. Josh M takes goal kick and Harry picks the ball up with a pass to Ben and then Karlos whose shot is wide. Oranges clear the ball well and we see just how quick they are as they put some good passes together forcing Aaron to clear for a corner kick, fortunately this comes to nothing. Whites are still finding it difficult to dig the ball out of their own half as Oranges apply pressure through some well worked play, Josh is having to earn his money today thats for sure. Aaron picks the ball up on the right and picks out Harry who spots Karlos on a run he manages to skip through a couple of Orange tackles and his shot is saved for a corner kick to eagles which does not come to anything. Straight back up the pitch Oranges have again caused Whites into defending deep and Aaron puts the ball out for a throw, Max brilliantly intercepts the throw in to run down his favoured right hand side but there are no players in the box to receive the ball. Oranges claim the first free kick of the match and whites put a two man wall up to defend, they manage to not only defend it but clear it with Lewis C picking the loose ball up and finding Ben who passes to Karlos, as he moves in on goal he blasts one and Charlie does a fantastic save but gets injured in the process. After returning from a broken arm he now has to contend with a very bloody nose such was his bravery. After a word between the coaches it is agreed that the Whites will use one of their goalies to help out and Dylan goes in goal for the Oranges. First half ends with Whites defending deep with Elliott from the Oranges seeing a couple of excellent shots cleared. 0-0
After the drama of the first half no one knows what will happen this half. Elliott has a shot cleared off the line by Max and then a rebound goes wide, think this is the wake up call Whites need as they finally start to pull together some decent passes with Harry, Max & Karlos and his shot skims past the post. There is very little between the two sides in this half and tackles from both sides are both quick and hard. Lewis C does well to contain the attacks Oranges make and Aaron keeps steady on his line. Dylan puts in some fine saves for the Oranges to keep the score at 0-0. A foul is spotted near the corner flag and Whites gain a free kick, Harry lines the ball up and despite the two man wall manages to curl the ball in the top right hand for a Whites goal 1-0!! The last five minutes are spent with chances on both sides going begging but both unable to convert final ball. Oranges play out the final tense minutes with both a free kick and corner kick which Lewis C manages to clear preserving the fragile 1-0 lead. Final whistle blows and whites celebrate!!!
LCGE Whites & Yellows Vs Stevenage Town 26th January 2008
GAME 1
Eagles are first on attack with a 7 pass combination between Ben, Harry, Max & Karlos which produces first shot by Karlos which is just wide. Eagles are quick to every ball and ST can do nothing but kick the ball out to try to slow down pace of play, Alfie takes the throw finds Karlos who spots Ben in space, he passes and Ben hits the post with the shot! Harry and Alfie both get in two good challenges as Stevenage Town do start to settle down and put some passes together but they find it very difficult to get past the Eagles defence. Lewis C does enough to get a tackle in as Stevenage Town have a shot and Josh tidies up at the back. Josh wastes no time and finds Harry, who links with Karlos, to Ben who passes back to Karlos who sees his shot saved, fantastic passing and thinking by the boys as they all keep position and work to get the ball up field. The next five minutes see's Alfie, Karlos and Ben pass and shot with Ben's shot earning us a corner kick.. Harry steps up and takes short to Alfie, back to Harry who shoots, shot saved but Karlos the predator is waiting and picks up the rebound, only to find his efforts saved. The first half lacks only a goal as eagles finish the half with Aaron solid at the back as Stevenage Town have last effort in this half 0-0
Second half boys are keen to convert their chances and Stevenage Town are forced to defend deep as Eagles get three corner kicks in succession through sheer persistence Karlos gets on the end of one of them and buries the ball in the net 1-0. Stevenage Town start a come back and Lewis gets in three really good tackles in a short space of time and then does a lovely ball to Ben who runs in on goal then switches as he spots Karlos in a better position, the shot hits the bar. It is not long though before another good linking play between Harry, Ben Karlos and Max with all of them showing great awareness of their position and build up is rewarded when Karlos gets his second of the match 2-0. Eagles are still looking for a third and Max shows lovely skill as he challenges a Stevenage Town player and takes the ball down the left wing picks out Karlos but the effort goes wide. 2-0
GAME 2
Well before I even have a chance to sharpen my pencil Alfie intercepts the ball as the whistle blows passes to Max who shoots and what can only be described as an unfortunate goalie error Max gets a goal 1-0. Stevenage Town don't let this stop them are on attack hoping to cancel out their earlier mistake Lewis C put the ball out for a Stevenage Town throw, Josh Mel quick and solid as ever get a leg on the ball and passes down the line to Alfie who battles a couple of challenges and passes to Max who hurtles towards goal but shoots just wide. Stevenage Town continue to push forward and Aiden intercepts a ball and begins what can only be described as a blistering run as he takes on most of Stevenage Town as he goes for goal, his efforts are rewarded with a corner kick as the goalie saves his shot. There seems to be a really good understanding between Josh Mel, Alfie & Max now affectionately known as the JAM, pass which has Max scoring a fantastic second goal 2-0. From the restart Max always looking to poach any ball does so and pushes towards goal but his shot is dragged across the face of goal, half finishes with eagles on the attack 2-0
Stuart puts in a good block as second half gets underway, Lewis M picks up the ball and does a good run which Eagles earn a throw in, quickly taken Stevenage Town are taken by surprise and can only knock it out for another throw as pressure begins to mount. Stevenage Town soak up this period of pressure and go on the attack, Dylan has to make his first save and does a brilliant job at close range, Stevenage Town also get a free kick and Dylan is called upon again to save which he does. Lewis M is staring to cause Stevenage Town serious problems in the middle of the park as he jinxes past a number of Stevenage Town players hell bent on goal and his shot hits the side netting, let that be a warning though. Ben comes on as sub and with almost his first touch gets the ball and scores. Stevenage Town respond through a poor clearance capitalise and get one back 3-1. Though there is little Stevenage Town can do as Eagles are constantly putting together good combination passes and again Aiden is key in midfield as he intercepts a ball and puts Lewis M who again navigating past a couple of Stevenage Town players buries it in the back of the net 4-1. With only a few minutes remaining good work between Aaron and Aiden send Stuart down the line who passes to Alfie who charges in on goal he shots but attempt is saved but not well enough as Lewis M picks up the loose ball and fires home his second and Eagles 5th. Excellent end to a very good game 5-1

GAME 1
Eagles start brightly with a good combination of passes starting with Max who picks out Karlos making a run into the box, Karlos passes across goal to Harry so he can run in on goal as Harry returns the pass but the shot goes wide. As BB try to clear the ball Ben intercepts and links with Harry & Max who has his first shot on goal. A good goal clearance from Bassingbourne gives Aaron his first real test of the match and he puts the ball out for a BB throw, they make the most of it and Eagles are forced into conceding two corner kicks in succession but Lewis and Aaron are doing their job and both come to nothing. Josh clears the ball and finds Harry who does a lovely through ball to Karlos whose shot just skims across the goal. This does not deter him and he battles to claim back the ball and spots Max on the left who slots one nicely in the net for Eagles first goal 1-0!
Week on week the passing of the team is getting better and better and Lewis instinctively knows where to find Harry who spots Ben on one of his runs down the right, he picks the ball up outside area and attempts a shot, unlucky to see it go wide. Pressure is mounting now on Bassinbourne and Eagles exploit their defensive weakness with Aaron starting a move which is nearly as direct football as you can get, straight to Ben who passes to Karlos and another wonderful finish 2-0. The final few minutes of first half see Bassingbourne attempt to get back into it with 2 throw in but Lewis equal to both and clears without too much effort. Half time 2-0
Second half starts as the first ended with Lewis going one better and getting 3 straight challenges in. Aaron clears the ball to spot Ben and with Karlos shouting for the pass gets the ball but shot is saved, rebound falls to Harry but again Bassingbourne goalie makes another fine save. Bassingbourne are stronger this half and whole team have to step up a gear as BB push forward. Ben does a fantastic intercept and passes to Harry who threads it through to Karlos, shot is put out for a corner kick. Harry takes but no one can get on the end of it. Josh has only one save to make as BB push in the last couple of minutes as a result of a corner kick, final whistle goes 2-0 to the Eagles
GAME 2
Bassingbourne draw first blood with first shot on goal but Dylan is in fine form pushes it away and Josh Mel clears the ball down the line. Alfie picks the loose ball up and tries to find Max but Bassingbourne close in and he cannot get the ball through. Max persists in trying to get through the defence from balls from Josh and Lewis M and has a shot blocked. Bassingbourne push forward and Aiden has to run back and clears for a corner kick which Bassingbourne cannot make anything from. Quick clearance from Dylan to Josh finds Stuart in space who runs with the ball, Max is calling and Stuart passes. Max does a fantastic switch on the ball to wrong foot the Bassingbourne defender and has a good attempt on goal, in unlucky not to score. This game is almost end to end and Eagles are saved from a certain goal by an outstanding point blank save by Dylan. Stuart ends the half with a run up the wing and Max shoots wide. Half time 0-0
Couple of substitutions seems to have done the trick as Eagles are quickly bearing down on the Bassingbourne goal; Ben picks the ball up from a good pass by Josh M and fires in his first of the day 1-0! This is the breakthrough they needed and all the boys get behind every ball and challenge, especially Aidan who puts in a great tackle to clear the ball as Bassingbourne try to get an equalizer. Bassingbourne start to panic as combination of Lewis M, Ben and Harry put them under pressure and eagles earn a throw in level with the box. Harry spots Ben and does a fantastic throw to his feet and all Ben has to do it place it in the net, well worked goal 2-0. Bassingbourne aren’t finished yet and Alfie ensures that Bassingbourne do not make it pass him. Stuart continues to get himself on the ball and earns a corner kick for eagles. Harry floats one in but Bassingbourne clear, as Bassingbourne try to play advantage Josh Mel moves forward and blocks the attempt in what we now call the Josh Brick wall move, as that’s what it must have felt like such was his solid performance at the back. Final move of the match has Dylan again with another fine save, 2-0

GAME 1
Eagles are straight on the attack with a 5 touch sequence between Max, Ben, Harry and Karlos who tries his luck and is rewarded with Eagles first goal, all within the first minute of the game! 1-0. Eagles waste no time and continue to pressure the SBW end with some nice interlinking play which demonstrates the boys have been listening to Mike's coaching. Max does a nice run down the left hand side picks out Ben who passes to Karlos, SBW are in on attack and put it out for a throw, Harry takes and finds Karlos who earns a corner kick, Harry takes but it goes out for goal kick. SBW begins to settle down and put together a couple of decent passes and have their first attack on goal. Josh who has had little to do so far is tested by two quick shots in succession but manages to smother them both. SBW is not finished and get through the Eagles defence with a nice nutmeg and their feisty No.8 shoots but Max clears. Eagles begin to clamp down on the passes and start to bring the ball out of their own end with Aaron picking out Max who hears Ben calling for the ball, he takes it and shoots, ball cleared for another Eagles corner, Harry plays it short to Ben who crosses it in to find Karlos who is unlucky as his shot goes across goal. Eagles have another two shots on goal but SBW are throwing so many players behind the ball it is difficult to pick a player out! Lewis C is working hard at the back as the No.8 again keeps managing to get through but does well to not only thwart his attempt on goal but does a lovely ball to Harry, Ben is just in front and takes the ball, shoots and goalies saves, Karlos is quick on rebound and Eagles persistence pays off for with a corner, which unfortunately hits the side netting and comes to nothing. SBW get a lifeline and manage to bring the ball up field to test Josh again, Ben covers well and SBW earn themselves a corner, Josh wastes no time in commanding his defence and safely claims the ball. Max is fast and after a lovely run spots Karlos who hits the post, but Max follows in and buries the ball in the back of the net 2-0 Half time
Eagles after a quick word from the coach come out looking for more goals; Harry has a shot outside the box which flies just over the bar. Seems the SBW coach has also had a word with his team as they are more organised in the second half and we seem Eagles defence coming into their own. Lewis C intercepts a cross and clears the line, he picks out Harry who rides two tackles and passes to Ben who earns another corner, but too many bodies block the ball and SBW clear. They waste no time and catch Eagles who rush to defend, as usual Alfie comes out of nowhere to make a well time challenge (his trademark). SBW are starting to come back into the game and final minutes see Aaron and Lewis C both having to rush to meet a number of balls finding their way through, but Eagles always looking for the counter take advantage with Lewis M picking out Harry who spots Alfie who is in on goal, shot blocked but only as far as Karlos who takes the chance and does the business, 3-0. Final whistle and well deserved win.
GAME 2
Alfie is straight into work and has to put in two good challenges as this SBW team are eager to prove a point and push forward. SBW is taking their chances as Eagles take time to settle down and see an excellent shot hit the bar. Dylan certainly is getting warmed up as he makes 2 good saves and comes out to the ball to claim it. Max is fast as usual down the wing but is getting tackled by at least 2 SBW defensive players every time he is on the ball making it difficult to get the ball through to Lewis M. Josh M is battling hard at the back with Aiden and both have to clear the ball for SBW throw in's as they avoid a shot on goal. Josh M does a good double block and passes out to Max who is looking to find Lewis M who rides a couple of tackles but there are too many players for him to get through. Stuart is finding his form and first half sees him take the ball from his own area and bring the ball all the way down the pitch, he even manages a shot on goal! With all the effort on attacks on goal SBW seize their chance and with what must be said a well worked goal between 3 of their players score 0-1. half time
Couple of changes by the coach at half time to see if this improves our chances against SBW. They waste no time and are looking to increase their lead with Stuart having to run across the pitch to keep them from getting in on goal, but Eagles do start to bring formation to their passing. Harry crosses into the box but there are no Eagles players there to take advantage. SBW clear the ball but a good intercept by Lewis M finds Harry who jinxes through not one but four players with a combination of physical strength and good footwork places a shot into the goal for the equalizer 1-1. Spurred on by the goal Eagles start to settle and Lewis M takes on three players trying to thread the ball through and his hard work earns a throw in. Some hazardous tackles by SBW sees eagles take their first free kick, Harry floats one in towards Ben who shoots but it is saved. The pace is much faster now and a poor clearance by the SBW goalie finds Harry who spots the goalie off his line and thinks why not! He picks his corner and shoots and is rewarded with another goal 2-1. Whilst the team celebrate the reversal of fortune they seem to forget that SBW are on the pitch and they take full advantage and within seconds of the restart put a cross in which is buried in the net. 2-2. several further attempts by Eagles see at least 3 shots just wide but they cannot just get the winner, final whistle blows 2-2

GAME 1
Stevenage Boro first to get in attack which Aaron does well to block and Eagles are defending their first corner kick, Harry manages to block and passes to Max who gets his first attack on Stevenage Boro players and manages to spot Carlos on a run whose shot is saved. Eagles seem very unsettled and are passing short allowing Stevenage Boro to get into the game as they are more physical and waste no time on capitalising on Eagles error with their second shot on goal producing 2 fine saves by Josh in quick succession but he and the players in the box are unable to keep out the third attempt and Stevenage Boro are 1-0 up. This early goal has clearly shaken the team and they give the ball away straight away and Stevenage Boro converts their chance into a second goal 2-0. Finally Eagles calm down and start playing the fantastic passing game that they are getting so good at thanks to their coach who shouts encouragement from the sidelines. A combination of some 8 passes between Aaron, Harry, Ben back to Harry who spots Carlos who flicks the ball to Max who shoots but ball saved, Ben is quick onto the rebound but again is wide. What is disappointing to see is the shirt pulling and blatant fouling by the Stevenage Boro team on Eagles who the Ref (coincidently the Stevenage Boro coach) chooses to ignore, I am just glad watching that the Eagles boys do not resort to such low tactics and let the passing do the talking. Ben gets in two strong tackles on a Stevenage Boro player who is more determined to get Ben than the ball. He picks out Max who is so fast down the line and manages to bypass a couple of Stevenage Boro players in the process, Carlos calls for the ball and a quickly snatched shot goes wide. Lewis C, Harry, Ben & Carlos end the game with a good passing move but ball is taken off the foot of Carlos by the goalie that in fairness on every attempt on goal is quick of the line and clearing denying Eagles the chances that they have had, whistle blows 0-2
Stevenage Boro manage two quick attempts on goal which Josh saves brilliantly but it is clear that the pressure is still on, but this doesn't stop Eagles pushing forward and again Harry, Ben & Carlos try to push forward but final ball is either wide or saved, if luck was on our side we should be at least 4 goals up at this stage! Aaron is having a physical battle with one of the Stevenage Boro players but is relentless in trying to get the ball which on most occasions he does and makes sure his presence is felt! Eagles secure a corner kick which Harry takes short to Ben but Stevenage Boro clear, they take the ball downfield and a well timed challenge somehow produces a free kick for Stevenage Boro, again decisions during this game at best comical and worst clear bias against Eagles. Stevenage Boro take the free kick which Eagles try to clear but a back pass to the goalie is too strong and goes in for an own goal 3-0. Eagles never give up on a pass or a challenge and are finally rewarded when Carlos manages to sneak through the defence and place a lovely ball rewarding their efforts. Eagles finish the second half the stronger team and again the Stevenage Boro goalie that has been excellent thwarts at least three clear chances from Ben, Carlos and Alfie and games end in defeat 1-3
GAME 2
Stevenage Boro start the second exactly same as first with a quick attack on goal with Josh M blocking well deep in Eagles half. Stevenage Boro again get at least two further challenges in but Stuart in good form quickly manages to clear and get Eagles out of danger. It’s not long though before almost a replica first game goal which has Dylan saving first ball but unable to contain the second and Stevenage Boro are 1-0. They are quick of the mark again and Stuart again is strong in defence to clear the ball to Lewis M who manages to get in on goal before being challenged. Alfie is really strong and matches the physical nature of Stevenage Boro giving them a taste of their own medicine which they don't like. Dylan is called upon again to defend the goal and pushes the ball out for a corner kick, Stevenage Boro attempt to push the ball over the line but combination of Josh G and Josh M keeps us out of trouble. Good to see Josh G back with us and he links well with Harry on the right to produce lovely ball up to Lewis M who has a shot saved. First half ends 1-0 Stevenage Boro.
Two quick goals at the beginning of the second half by Stevenage Boro one from open play and the other from another dubious free kick see Eagles down 3-0. Do Eagles drop their heads and spirits, not at all, they continue to push for goal with Alfie passing to Max who is so quick to latch onto the ball and seek the net, only the fine saving of the goalie denies this. A couple of changes halfway through second half allow Ben to thread through some of the feet of the Stevenage Boro and has at least two chances go just wide. It is clear that over both matches if we converted our efforts we would be walking away with a win. Stevenage Boro continues to hustle for the ball but Eagles manage to contain them for the remainder of the match and final whistle blows 3-0 to Stevenage Boro.

GAME 1
First outing against Bedwell so not sure what to expect. Eagles get an early throw in which is taken by Aaron, he finds Lewis C which starts a combination of passes, which, includes Harry to Ben to Carlos, whose first shot is just wide of the post. A poor clearance from the Bedwell goalie is intercepted by Carlos; who is unlucky as he pushes the ball just wide of the post. Eagles seem to be having a number of chances, with Ben having his shot smothered by the goalie - and his second shot after a corner kick taken by Harry, short to Lewis C to Ben which hits the side netting. Bedwell start to get back into the game a bit more, and we see their first attack on goal with Lewis providing good cover to ensure it doesn't come to anything. Aaron picks the ball up deep in Eagles half and picks out Max; who does a lovely run down the left hand side and finds Carlos, quick back pass to Harry, who shoots but is just wide. Eagles are doing everything but finish the final ball! Bedwell goalie again has a poor clearance, which Ben intercepts this time he passes to Harry, to Lewis C, back to Ben, who sees Max force a corner. Harry steps up to take and whips in a cross which whizzes across face of goal and is begging for a foot to put it in the back of the net but unfortunately we don't. Eagles are now pushing into Bedwell goal area with nearly every attack but some good defending by Bedwell who are managing to contain more of the play again thwarts efforts of the boys. Half time whistle blows 0-0
Straight on attach Eagles quick to pick up where they left off and Carlos shows some fancy footwork to bypass a challenge and forces another corner kick for Eagles. Harry picks out Lewis C who shoots and is unlucky as goalie makes a good save, it’s not long though until we see some excellent work by Aaron bringing the ball up field to Carlos who is in on goal but spots Ben in a better position passes and finally eagles get the goal 1-0! Josh has his first real challenge early on in second half and has to put his book down such has been the lack of goalmouth action in this game. He clears well and Ben picks up the ball which starts three attempts on goal including Carlos, Ben & Harry their efforts are rewarded with a corner kick. Harry takes the corner and we see the ball hit the back of the net, what a goal 2-0! Alife comes on in last few minutes of second half and makes immediate impact with a good challenge though he picks up a knock. He ends the game with a shot on goal and is fast becoming a permanent fixture in the box, final whistle 2-0
GAME 2
Bedwell have woken up and waste no time in securing their first attack on goal which Dylan safely collects. His clearance finds Aiden who is playing midfield today and links well with Lewis M, who finds Max unmarked. Max wastes no time in running up the pitch but is challenged earning a throw which gives Eagles a shot on goal by Max but just wide. Lewis M is busy in the middle of the park getting in some well time challenges making sure Eagles keep position. Bedwell push forward and Eagles put ball out for corner kick which they get two chances at but fail to produce final ball. Ball is cleared and Josh M picks out a lovely ball to Lewis with some interplay with Alfie who again this week is trying his luck in front of goal and manages to secure a corner kick for Eagles. Lewis C takes and first ball is put out by Bedwell, second corner kick good delivery to Lewis M who sees his shot skim past the post. Stuart is strong at the back begins to push forward trying to pick out Aiden who is challenged quickly by Bedwell but he manages to get a pass out to find Max who flies down towards goal but too many Bedwell players gives him little opportunity to convert. Aiden is providing crucial cover in the middle of the park and wastes no time getting in a crucial challenge as Bedwell try to push forward. Bedwell do manage to slip by defence and Dylan has his first testing save which he is equal to and thus ends the first half. 0-0
Dylan picks up where he left off with 2 quick saves in succession but he clears well and finds Aiden who takes the ball and finds Lewis M, a scrappy goalmouth challenge which should see Eagles scores leaves us frustrated as Bedwell manage to clear the ball. Stuart gets in a strong challenge crosses over to Aaron who looks for the pass to Lewis M, he has his first attempt on goal blocked but who is this popping up in the box again, yes Alfie and he blasts the goal in to give Eagles the lead, 1-0. Soon as game restarts Bedwell get in a lucky ball up field and Josh is quick to react kicking the ball out for a throw. Well aimed throw by Bedwell sees a good shot blocked by Dylan but Bedwell are quicker to react to the rebound and score, 1-1. Final minutes see Eagle try to push for the deserved winner and Lewis M is as unlucky as a good solo effort sees the shot wide and our last chance of the game. Final score 1-1

Game 1
Bit of a nervous start by Eagles as they scramble for the first few passes, fortunately they start to settle down and start to pass the ball around the pitch. A nicely worked pass from Aaron at the back finds Harry who passes it Carlos, he moves in on goal but can't find a shot so passes back to Harry who has run into the box dribbles pass a defender and takes his chance with a shot which sails into the back of the net 1-0. Shefford Saints continue to push for the ball trying to find a way through but Carlos blocks a throw out and has a shot which goes just wide. This doesn't stop Shefford Saints. Ben has to track back to stop an attack on the eagle goal though Aaron is solid in defence and keeping the Shefford Saints strikers at bay. Eagles get their first corner kick which whips across face of goal and Shefford Saints are lucky to clear it. Josh puts out the ball to Lewis C who looks up and picks out Ben who makes a run on goal he passes to Carlos who sees the ball taken off his foot just as he is about to strike, undeterred Eagles continue to push forward for the second goal which on run of play they deserve. Josh has to make a couple of quick saves and does so confidently and makes a quick throw out which Lewis C again picks up, Lewis M is causing problems for the Shefford Saints midfield as he takes the ball and runs with it he picks out a lovely pass to Ben who shoots and Eagles net their second goal just as half time blows 2-0
Eagles start second half defending way too deep and put themselves under pressure, which Shefford Saints take advantage of and get a shot on goal, no problem for Josh. The first real Eagles pass of the half sees Ben pushing forward and riding a number of tackles, he doesn't stop and passes to Carlos who nets his first of the day with a fine blast in the back of the net 3-0. All the team are playing so well with passing like we have never seen, accurate and always pushing on for goal, Shefford Saints are still there to spoil the party and Aaron is well in with a tackle with a robust opponent and he stands his ground well. Max is on this half and makes a lovely run down the wing from one end of the pitch to the other and has a shot, so unlucky as cleared off the line forcing a corner kick. Harry takes and too many Shefford Saints players smother the ball so eagles unable to convert. Just when we think that we have seen it all again Max with good vision picks out Ben who wastes no time in netting his second of the day with a smash into the back of the net 4-0, final few minutes of game give Josh a bit of a work out but again Lewis C and Aaron doing a fantastic job at the back keep any hopes of a consolation goal just that a hope. Final score 4-0
Game 2
Soon as the whistle blows Alife is off on his first tackle, making sure Shefford Saints know he is there and means business. Eagles win their first throw in which is poorly cleared by Shefford Saints and Eagles force a corner, Lewis C takes and Shefford Saints goalies off his line to claim. Quick throw out by Shefford see their first attempt on goal but Alife is there with not one by five consecutive tackles. Stuart ensures the move stops as soon as it gets to him and he puts in an excellent tackle, takes his time to find the pass and finds Max who again is playing havoc with the Shefford defence but the angle is too tight and he hits the side netting. Eagles are applying good pressure with Lewis M covering well in midfield, passes to Max who finds Lewis C who has a shot but just wide. It is all one way traffic into the Shefford goal and after two attempts at goal Max finally sees the ball across the line 1-0 just on half time.
Max straight on the attack from the whistle and finds Harry who picks out Lewis M on a run who has a shot fly just wide of the post, a poor clearance by the goalie and Alfie in straight onto it, he rides a couple of challenges determined to have a shot which he does and is saved, this does not stop him having a second though and he is rewarded for his determination with his first goal for the eagles 2-0! Josh M is on the field and we shout to make sure he doesn’t pick the ball up but kicks it instead, he does a good job and stopping any stray balls that find there way into Eagles end. Dylan does have to make a couple of saves but is in total command of his goal and is not seriously threatened. Carlos joins the second half and skips through the defence to pass to Ben who sees his third goal over two games 3-0. Shefford try one last push to get the ball up but Stuart is just waiting for them and calmly collects the ball and passes to Harry who finds Carlos with a flick of the boot hits the post but Lewis M has made a fine run and seizes his chance and buries the ball 4-0.

Game 1
First time playing Hormead Hares so Eagles not sure what to expect. Eagles seem to have a new player though he has four legs, oh its Lilley the dog who is quickly escorted off pitch!
Nervous start by Hormead Hares who are under pressure almost immediately and concede the first throw in which Ben takes, picks out Harry who spots Carlos making a run towards goal passes and Carlos shoots, 1-0. Hormead Hares are not perturbed and Aaron has a battle with a Hormead Hare player with both determined not to give up the ball, Aaron wins the day and continues in the first half to defend his position and stop Hormead Hares getting a shot on goal. Lewis C steps up to challenge for every ball and passes to Harry who again picks Carlos up on his fast runs, this attempt sees first corner kick which Harry takes but Eagles unlucky not to convert. We now see numerous linking passes taking the ball towards Hormead Hares goal but they have quickly started to closely man mark Carlos which sees a number of potential efforts come to nothing. Josh has to make a couple of saves towards end of first half again proving Hormead Hares are still very much in the game. HT 1-0
Lively start by Eagles Lewis C who is now commanding his area at the back pass over the halfway line where Hormead Hares put in a brash challenge gives Eagles a free kick, Harry takes the Kick and sees his shot saved but poacher Carlos picks up the loose ball and buries it 2-0. Well at this point you would think Eagles can start to relax and that is exactly what they did unfortunately its at this point Hormead Hares start to take the initiative and are pushing deeper and deeper into the Eagles goal area. Too many passes are getting past the Eagles and after at least 3 attempts on goal Hormead Hares are rewarded for their persistence with a well worked goal 2-1. Still the wake up call is not heard by the players and they continue to sit deep in their own half as Hormead Hares push again for an equalizer. Josh is certainly working hard this half and keeps Eagles in the game with several good stops one of which had hit the cross bar. Alfie remains as ever battling for every ball in his area and commits himself to numerous tackles some of which see the parents wincing for him!. Lewis and Harry work the ball down the line and get a corner kick which when crossed in just glances off Max's head but away from goal. Almost immediately Hormead Hares race up the pitch and earn themselves a free kick which whites defend too deeply and after a couple of attempts get the equalizer 2-2. Final minutes are spent trying to stop the game from disappearing and Eagles just manage to do this and end the game 2-2!

Eagles off on attack with Max attempting to push on goal but doesn’t have enough support to help convert. Hormead Hares are managing to break through midfield but Josh defends his position and that of the goal brilliantly ensuring he wins all the balls he goes for. Dylan has to put his gloves into use almost immediately and makes a couple of saves. He rolls out ball to Aaron who does well picking out Lewis C who takes it down the line and is tackled outside box earning a corner kick, which then turns into three as Hormead Hares put it out on each attempt but too many bodies in the box does give us the goal that on balance of play Eagles deserve. Lewis M makes a nice turn in midfield and skips over a couple of players again earning us a corner kick which is defended by nearly all the HH players making it difficult for any Eagles player to make contact with it. First half ends with Eagles unlucky not to see any of their several good chances converted.
Max is off like lightning from the start works the ball down the line and within first minute is rewarded with a goal which he blasted outside the box 1-0. With this start Eagles push harder and Josh is in defence spots Lewis M down the left and releases a pass which Lewis gives to Ben who shoots and scores 2-0. This is the dream start they wanted and it’s not long before Aaron who again is doing well over both games stops any chance Hormead Hares of getting past him to shoot. Interlink play between Josh and Lewis M starts to pay dividends when it sets Ben off on another attempt on goal and with a fine shot inside the box he gets his second of the match and third of the game 3-0. Eagles stay switched on for the remaining minutes and whilst Hormead Hares continue to push on goal the work between the boys ensures that they tidy up any attempts with a quick counter. Final whistle 3-0

Game 1
So the Eagles derby gets underway, Whites take the advantage early on and quickly have three shots in quick succession towards goal though Orange keeper is heroically doing everything to keep them out and suffers two injuries inside the first 5 minutes. Whites settle down with a nice link between Lewis, Ben to Max who sees his shot cleared off the line. Oranges are quick on the counter and Josh is called upon to make 2 saves and Whites goal is beginning to come under attack. Aiden and Aaron are working hard to clear the ball of the line and manage a pass to Ben who finds Harry in some space, he shoots but it's saved. There is no time to pause as both teams battle for every ball. Whites give away a corner kick and Oranges see their shot hit the post but Whites do enough to clear it. Straight down the field good passing between Lewis C & Ben force Oranges to concede a corner kick, Harry whips in a cross right across the face of goal but no Whites in position to tap it in. First half ends with a shot each end both going wide, nothing in it.
Straight away Whites on the attach with Harry, Max & Alfie working together to pick out Max who heads towards goal, solid tackle sees Whites disposed and Oranges again have a shot hit the post. As soon as that drama is finished another begins with Whites pushing further into Oranges half to try and break the deadlock, Whites have a throw just inside the halfway line taken by Harry who finds Max who spots Ben making a run towards goal picks the ball up and shoots, yes 1-0 Whites. This goal seems to lift Whites and again good combination play with Josh starting the move which sees nearly all the Whites pass and touch the ball before it finds its way to Max who again sees his effort saved. The pace hasn't abated and the Oranges look for the equalizer and are looking more dangerous on the attack, Whites seem to go to sleep and what should have been a simple clearance give the Oranges a shot on goal which Elliott sends thundering into the top left leaving Josh no chance of saving it 1-1, this was practically last piece of action in the match which for both sides was fantastic to watch. Great performance!
Game 2
Blacks waste no time this game in getting in on the Yellows goal, Dylan has to make his first of many fine saves less than a minute into the game. Stuart puts in two well time tackles to thwart the Blacks attempt on goal but the pressure is evident. Lewis M threads his way through the Blacks to pick out Max but the Blacks goalie is quick off the line to smother it. Good goal kick and Blacks are straight in on goal, a scramble ensues with nearly every Yellow player behind the ball trying to clear which they manage this time with two corner kicks which come to nothing. Stuart takes the ball up to Lewis M who has a fantastic run on goal and is unlucky when his shot is saved, but fine individual effort. As first half draws near one last push and Blacks shoot on goal which Dylan brilliantly saves, however little he can do with the rebound as Blacks pounce on a loose ball and score 0-1
Second half starts where Blacks left off, attacking the goal. Aiden is pushing for every ball and doing so well to try to contain them but a blocked clearance gives the Blacks an easy second goal 0-2. At no time are the Yellows giving up on this and continue to battle on for every ball, Lewis M is pushing forward and Ben picks up the ball and blasts one at the goal, excellent effort with matching save. On the counter yellows have no time to organise and the Blacks take the ball from their own half and finish the move with a third 0-3. Whilst the Yellows have several chances in the remaining minutes the conversion is missing and so games ends 0-3.

Whites and Yellows Vs Stevenage Town Youth - 22 September 2007
Game 1
Straight from the kick off the Eagles where straight on the attack with Carlos taking the ball from the halfway line straight down the goal where he finished the move with a goal 1-0. Eagles continue to dominate the game with excellent passing between the players. Lewis brings the ball down the line and passes to Harry whereupon Stevenage put in a tackle to concede a thrown in, ball is passed into the goal area but a couple of chances by Ben and Carlos fail to get the second goal which they deserve. Aaron is starting to get busy down the touchline as Stevenage try to push forward but he manages a well time tackle looks up and passes, Stevenage are glad to knock it out for a corner kick which Harry takes and is unlucky as the ball is cleared off the line. Pressure is constant for Stevenage and the boys take time to pass and build the game. Aiden picks up a ball in his own half and delivers a brilliant pass to Lewis who picks out Harry who wastes no time in putting the ball in the net 2-0. Stevenage are showing some flashes of good skill with the No5 girl dispossessing a number of the Eagles players at various times during the match. She manages to thread a pass up to her strikers which gives Josh his first action of the game and he quickly claims the ball. Eagles have allowed them space and time to start making some serious attacks and Aiden and Aaron are doing well to keep the ball from getting too close to the goal and half time whistle blows.
Max joins the second half and is quickly in action when Ben intercepts a pass and Max gets his first shot on goal which is just wide. Eagles get a corner kick which sees a goal mouth scramble ensue as no one can put the ball in the net and Stevenage clear. Stevenage waste no time in getting the ball up field and certainly look more alert this half again forcing Josh to do some work in goal. Aiden picks up the ball and delivers a precision pass to Max who takes his chance 3-0! Eagles resume control of the game and it is not long before the combination of passing from Ben to Carlos who nets his second of the match 4-0. In the final push sees Ben pushing forward and having a shot which flies in the back of the net 5-0!
Game 2
Second game starts very lively and Alfie is in fine form with his signatory hard tackles managing to get the ball to Max who sees his shot blocked. Stevenage manage to get pass the defence and launch a shot on goal which Dylan does well to get a hand to. Stuart puts in a challenge and passes to Josh who picks out Max who is off on goal but Eagles are unlucky not to see their chance converted. Josh G manages a good clearance as Stevenage are putting the team under pressure but all the players manage to stay calm. Lewis is working the middle of the field and combines well with Alfie to push the ball up field but too many Stevenage players are in the box. They manage to clear it and take the ball to our end and deliver a fantastic shot on goal which produces a lovely save but unfortunately not by Dylan, resulting in a penalty to Stevenage. Dylan keeps calm and has eyes only on the ball never mind the nervous parents on the sidelines, Stevenage step up and shoot but Dylan training is paying off as he pulls off a fantastic save just as half time approaches.
Eagles are doing everything but manage to get the ball in the back of the net and both Josh's are working hard to contain a very lively No11 (girl) who manages to make her presence felt throughout the game and succeeds on getting the ball up the pitch but cannot convert. Eagles get a corner kick which Harry takes and Josh G is unlucky as it goes just wide. The action is end to end and Stevenage have a number of attacks on goal which keeps Dylan busy but he is equal to all the challenges and keeps Eagles in the game. Just as we are giving up hope of a sixth consecutive win Carlos sprints down the pitch and buries the ball in the back of the net, some very unprofessional behaviour from the Stevenage players to their own goalie is noted and we are lucky that the Eagles whatever happens all support each other regardless of the result. Final whistle blows and Eagles walk off the victors 1-0.

Game 1
Bassingbourne were first to score 1-0 but with a pass from Aaron to Carlos who put it in the back of the net for Eagles first goal 1-1. Carlos then scored the next goal 2-1. It was Ben's turn next with an excellent goal 3-1. Max came on for Carlos who took a lovely corner which resulted in an own goal by Bassingbourne 4-1. Bassingbourne came back into the game which resulted in them pulling one back, final result 4-2 LGCE Whites. Well done Boys!

Dylan had very little to do in the first half, however though, Bassingbourne came back full throttle and was more in control in the second half with Dylan having lots more to do. Carlos scored our first 1-0, then Ben stepped up to the mark and scored our next goal resulting in a final result 2-0 the LGCE Eagles Yellows. Well done Boys!

Whites and Yellows Vs Sawbridgeworth 8th September 2007
Game 1
First game of the season got underway with a number of tackles as both sides tried to dictate the pace of the match, SBW secured first free kick which luckily Aiden blocked as it came to nothing. The long summer break was soon a distant memory as the boys were running up and down the pitch as the passing from both sides was using full length of the pitch. Harry had a shot deflected, which then saw Aiden have a blast from outside the box. Eagles soon started to take full control of the game which saw the majority of the action all in the SBW end. Eagles had a throw on which landed at Max's feet who shot but was just wide, Ben was also working hard with a number of key tackles to keep possession and a number of shots on goal which he was unlucky not to see any of them converted. Alfie intercepted a ball from the keeper and passed into the six yard box, one of the SBW team went in with a hard challenge bringing down our player for a penalty. Ben duly stepped up and converted 1-0! The pressure from Eagles is now non stop and we continue to see the team working together thinking before they pass and trying to keep hold of the ball. Aaron manages to clear any stray ball that enters the Eagles end and I am sure I saw Josh the goalie reading a magazine such was the lack of action at his end. SBW are forced into making more errors from the pressure applied by Aaron, Aiden and Ben forces them to concede a corner which Harry takes, good corner kick which just needs a tap in but unfortunately no eagles on hand to convert. The half time whistle blows with Eagles coming off 1-0 up.
Ben starts second half with well time tackle which sees the Eagles first attempt on the goal, a few changes by SBW see them taking the ball into the Eagles end with Aaron and Alfie having to mark their opponents tightly. Alfie does a nice pass to Harry who has a shot on goal which is saved. Max is always looking to intercept the ball out from the keeper and his interceptions pay off with a pass to Harry, then back to Max who shots and scores, a deserved 2-0 lead. The remainder of the second half see the Eagles using the tactics Mike has worked so hard to impress upon them of relaxing on the ball and passing which they are doing really well and are unlucky not to see more of their chances converted, Harry strikes from outside the box which hits the cross bar, the 3rd goal is elusive . SBW manage a couple of attempts on goal and 2 CK's but as the whistle blows and score remains 2-0.
Game 2
Yellows see a new SBW team waste no time with an attempt on goal which Dylan smothers brilliantly. Team start to settle down and it is not long before Carlos is receiving the ball from Josh G for his first attempt on goal. SBW manage to get through for a couple of shots on goal but Josh (defender) is solid at the back and unfazed as he clears the ball to Josh M who passes to Carlos who is away like lightening and quickly shoots, ball sails into back of the net 1-0. Josh M and Ben are tackling all that comes their way and Stuart is working hard at the back taking the ball away from goal on a number of occasions to reduce the pressure. Josh G picks the ball up in midfield and with a nice turn passes to Carlos who zooms in on goal, yes another 2-0. Last play off the half sees a good combination move starting from a throw out from Dylan to Stuart who spots Josh M who gets it into the path of Carlos, shot is just over the bar and whistle ends the first half. 2-0
SBW get the first CK of the second half and Dylan does really well to keep his cool and take the ball amid all the players. Aiden is providing strong support at the back and not afraid to chase every ball to ensure SBW do not get a chance on goal. This half also sees Aiden make a fabulous individual run the length of the pitch avoiding tackles and finishing with a shot near goal. SBW manage a strong goal clearance which Josh intercepts and passes to Harry, who spots Josh G, the passing continues to Carlos when SBW manage to get in and clear. It is obvious just how much better the boys are passing and calling for the ball, Alfie in his usual strong and determined manner goes for every ball and with his interception gives Carlos the opportunity to try for his hatrick which he duly obliges 3-0. Final push on the match sees a ball from Harry to Carlos end in the 4th and final goal for Eagles, however a moment of loss of concentration sees SBW come back with an excellent individual goal for consultation.
Final whistle and score 4-1!
